Who we are
Embrace Unity Inc. is a non-profit organization and our goal at Embrace Unity Inc. is to bring people together to provide resources to those whose lives have been and are affected by opiate addiction. We specifically provide scholarships based towards women. Starting in 2019 we will be offering Embracing Hope scholarships for women who are committed to furthering their education with a trade or certificate program and in recovery. The focus is to bring about change and assist those who have been struggling with opiate addiction and in recovery. Our goal is to encourage and support a healthy lifestyle, including modeling, ambition and drive towards a better life. We are committed to raising money and awareness to help with the financial burdens that women in recovery may be facing during this time. We are looking towards always expanding and open to new ideas and always looking for volunteers to help make our organization grow!
The people who have made this organization possible
President and CEO
Kathaline proudly serves as the President and CEO of Embrace Unity Inc. She is a mother of three beautiful children and loving Grandmother to five. In her own words, “I started this with help of others by bringing awareness to the drug epidemic in our cities. I believe in our motto “Instilling Hope!”
I want to make a difference by touching their lives for the positive; by helping people make the first step in recovery.
While serving as a Deacon in her local church, Kathaline also volunteers for the monthly community breakfast and sits on the advisory board for the Immaculata Home; which is a non-profit organization of volunteers who assist women transitioning back into mainstream society who have no dependents.
I manage all the volunteers and help the outreach. On average we host 6,000 volunteers.
From 2015 to 2017 I worked as an Ameri – Corps Member with Habitat for Humanity. During those two years I was a Construction Crew Leader where I led volunteers in constructing a house. I have helped build 5 homes from start to finish and helped get two more weathered in.
I was just hired by Habitat Buffalo in the Health Department. I will volunteer with their Disaster Preparedness Department.
