Who we are
Embrace Unity Inc. is a non-profit organization and our goal at Embrace Unity Inc. is to bring people together to provide resources to those whose lives have been and are affected by opiate addiction. We specifically provide scholarships based towards women. Starting in 2019 we will be offering Embracing Hope scholarships for women who are committed to furthering their education with a trade or certificate program and in recovery. The focus is to bring about change and assist those who have been struggling with opiate addiction and in recovery. Our goal is to encourage and support a healthy lifestyle, including modeling, ambition and drive towards a better life. We are committed to raising money and awareness to help with the financial burdens that women in recovery may be facing during this time. We are looking towards always expanding and open to new ideas and always looking for volunteers to help make our organization grow!
The people who have made this organization possible
President and CEO
Kathaline proudly serves as the President and CEO of Embrace Unity Inc. She is a mother of three beautiful children and loving Grandmother to five. In her own words, “I started this with help of others by bringing awareness to the drug epidemic in our cities. I believe in our motto “Instilling Hope!”
I want to make a difference by touching their lives for the positive; by helping people make the first step in recovery.
While serving as a Deacon in her local church, Kathaline also volunteers for the monthly community breakfast and sits on the advisory board for the Immaculata Home; which is a non-profit organization of volunteers who assist women transitioning back into mainstream society who have no dependents.
Angela works as a Construction Supervisor with Habitat for Humanity Buffalo. Since 2015, she’s helped the construction team build more than a dozen homes and continues to help families become first-time homebuyers.
Angela joined the Embracing Hope team shortly after it’s inception in 2017. As Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator, she supports the organization by working with Kathaline to promote and coordinate events, such as the annual Instilling Hope 5K.
“Embracing Hope is a young organization but it is easy to see that with Kathaline’s strong leadership this group will grow with great success. I look forward to a long partnership as we instill hope and empower those dedicated to recovery.”
